The ncaa football is smaller ( 1" circumference ) so it could matter


My hands are 8 3/4" and I always had trouble gripping the nfl football. The ncaa football was not a problem. I could see the larger football causing problems for QB's with smaller hands. It's too bad they couldn't keep the same football at all levels but the nfl is big boy football.
