I was there, too. One of the coldest experiences I've ever had
Miami had a DE named Ted Hendricks, tall guy about 6'7". They called him the Stork. All American. Had quite a career with the Oakland Raiders. Back then we students would talk about "moral victories", trying to build our athletic teams up when we were still unknowns. That 1967 Miami game was a moral victory, we shoulda, coulda, woulda won, but, alas, it is nothing more than a footnote in history. I remember being really mad at the refs, I guess I felt like they stole the game from us. Grinches.
