That was the era of "The Stallions", and I think we had 4 or 5 tailbacks score TDs that day, so we certainly used more than our first string. The second quote came in the kitchen at work on Monday morning when laughing at McDaniel's statement one woman said "If they wanted to play our second string they should have scheduled our second string".

For those who may not remember, I believe (I think I am correct) that was the week after the hoos beat uncheat, then we stomped the hoos. Uncheat then got our bowl spot with an overall record worse than ours. That may have been the year uncheat refused to play us in the bowl, so we stayed home. Another reason to always root against them, as if you need another reason.
