There's something to be said for youth recovery times helping longevity


It's hard to argue that in a physically based occupation it isn't easier for the body to recover at 20 years old than it is at 24, regardless of the wear and tear already accumulated. It's also not like staying in college saves his body wear and tear, he's still playing football at a very high level but not getting paid for it.

I'm in my late 20s and it takes me far longer to recover from a day of playing sports than it did 3-4 years ago, and I've remained just as active as I've always been.
