I think everyone can agree that the only issue with our OOC schedule is the

RPI number for the Low Major/Buy games. The 2k classic, Big 10 challenge, road games vs Kentucky and Ole Miss seem on par if not more difficult than most P6 schedules I looked at. What seems off/wrong to me and hopefully everyone else, is we get dinged because we played Houston Baptist (#339) instead of Denver (#239). Changing Houston Baptist to Denver doesn't change the real life toughness of our schedule, but on paper/computer it makes a huge difference. So while I agree that on paper our SOS is weak, in reality it is exactly the same if not harder than most teams in front of us. We did by any metric "Challenge" ourselves as much as anyone OOC (2k classic, Big 10 challenge, @ole miss, @Kentucky). If RPI numbers did not exist, or just weren't listed when reading our schedule, no one would look at our schedule and say it was easy. They would see an OOC schedule with a few "easy" games vs Low majors, a early tournament, and a couple games vs P6 teams. Exactly the same as everyone else.

This all ties in to my OP, even if our OOC SOS were abnormally easy, who cares. Our Full 31 game SOS is going to be great. Who cares if 13 games out of our 31 game schedule rate as easy in the RPI. We play 31 games.
