Even though that may be true, it doesn't change the fact

that all coaches have an achilles' heel(s) in their scheme/philosophy. The reality is there is no perfect sports scheme because they each have their strengths and weaknesses. The coaches get paid the big bucks to access the risk levels that their opponents won't exploit any weaknesses during the sporting event. Also, just because a coach has an achilles' heel and even acknowledges it doesn't diminish the greatness of the coach or all that he/she accomplished during his/her life.

Foster's scheme is all about high risk high reward. It also means that if there is the slightest breakdown somewhere, then it can mean a big reward for the opponent. When facing an opponent like GT or Kansas, who depend more on big plays, then it can be a bigger momentum swing during the game. If I had a dream Coordinator matchup, then it probably would be Mouse Davis vs. Bud Foster. The matchup scares me because Davis's scheme could easily pick Foster's apart (assuming all things were equal). However, the reason I want to see it is because I believe Foster is a better ingame adjuster and would do a better job of holding the other's coordinator scheme in check.
