Check out the last two regular season games, and especially the game against Virginia. In both game we ran for over 200 yards of offense, with no long runs. To me that says volumes. 1) the offense stayed on the field, chewing clock, and it kept our weakened D on the sidelines and resting a lot. IMO, if you're averaging 4 yds a carry, you're doing good running the ball, especially if there aren't any 40 or 50 runs to inflate the avg.
