With absolutely no inside presence, outside of KB, I'm concerned a large
percentage of our conference games follow the same script this season. Against the VMI's and Radford's of the world, our athleticism and superior talent will easily get the job done. However, when the competition increases, I'm not sure how we can consistently compete with these teams that field any semblance of inside presence/size in the paint. When the opposition is getting two and three opportunities to score on most trips down, compared to our one, its tough to win.
Unless you are absolutely shooting the lights out every night, playing exceptional d, and well out ahead in turnover margin, its going to be difficult to maintain any level of consistency. Its kind of hard to believe just how small we are compared to basically every other team we play. Blackshear was a force today; he gave KU all they could handle.
