Problem was how ineffective VT had been in running the football


Jackson and the RBs were a combined 29 carries for 62 yards. So when your QB and RBs are averaging two yards a carry, running the ball on 4th down is not at all a given.

The play was close to working. Really, it would have worked, but the Ga Tech defender made a play on the ball.
