2nd and 2 at the 8 yd line - no points. We never line up under center on 3rd or 4th and short, making hand offs 5 yards in the backfield a real adventure trying to pick them up. We obviously were not in Zone defense, so when is it acceptable to just let a receiver run past you? Then there are the two deep shots taken when there is no life afterwards if you did not succeed. When have those risk/reward type plays paid off for us recently? I want coaches to own it when their play calling has a lot to do with a loss. These guys never say the words, I should have done things differently. They instead say we had a good play call, we just did not execute. You could say that for every play! How about you choose plays that are easier to execute to get you that valuable yard or two, coach? I really wish that my happiness was not so linked to VT's football success. It really wrecks a weekend. We have slipped into underachievement, and I cannot stand it.
