The Ones Who Got Away

From time-to-time I check out the players who have transferred from the basketball program. Although transferring is very common, we've probably had more than most schools in recent years. I understand that new coaching regimes often result in a number of transfers and I'm not passing judgment on either the coaching staff or the individual players. That being said, here is what I found regarding players who might have been eligible this year:
1) Ben Emelogu will be playing his third year with SMU. Last year he was the 6th man of the year for the AAC. If you were around 4 years ago, you may remember that he was the VT captain for the 2013-2014 team as a freshman. When does that ever happen? Emelogu has never been a good shooter (FG less than 33%, 3FG less than 30%, FT less than 60%) but still has a decent all-around game.
2) Jalen Hudson is at Florida with 2 years of eligibility left. He is one player many of us hated to see go. In their exhibition game against Jacksonville, Hudson was 4-7 from 3 and led Florida with 21 points in 26 minutes.
3) Maurice Kirby (remember him?) spent one year at VT as a redshirt. Since then he has been at Coffeyville JC, Loyola of Chicago and now he is at IUPUI (look it up if you don't know). Mostly a space eater/rebounder at 6-9 with little offensive shills. Much like...
4) Satchel Pierce has surfaced at Penn State. In two exhibition games he has done what you'd expect; get a couple of rebounds, score on a couple of putbacks and get limited playing time.
5) Seth Leday has yet to be cleared by the NCAA. Technically he has to sit out this year since he transferred from VT to ECU. ECU is appealing since he sat out last year after transferring into VT.
6) Malik Mueller is playing in Germany after two years at VT (one as a RS).
