"running behind an inexperienced oline"...

This is a pervasive misconception on this board.

I posted this in an earlier thread. Aside from center we are experienced but lack depth. The author explains why below...

"4. A Deceptively Experienced Offensive Line

I've had to fill out the info sheets for college football preview magazines before, and the "returning starters" topic is always a tricky one. Some guys split starts in a year. Some only start a couple game, but took over the starting role as the year ended. Others were starters but got hurt before the season, so do they count? Well, from the work I've done, typically those guys don't count. So West Virginia's offensive line is not getting the love it likely deserve. There are some concerns with depth, but Kyle Bosch is an All-Big12 guard. Colton McKivitz started the final ten games last year. Yodny Cajuste has been called the best offensive lineman on the team by the coaches, and was a starter before injuries ended his 2016 season. That leaves center Matt Jones - who Dana Holgorsen said was the star of the spring - and the other guard, which will be a battle between fifth-year senior Grant Lingafelter (who has starting experience) and young sensation Josh Sills.

As far as a top five or six goes, that's among the best in the league."
