The pass was 20 yards on the same side of the field. WR was wide open
turned and took it to the house. Watch the game on Youtube. Lots of lofted inaccurate long balls but he is an excellent dink and dunk QB that reminds me of Ken Dorsey at Miami or Josh Heupel at OU.
Grier had a chance to stay a Florida but McElwain said maybe you need a change and that is the reason he went to WVa. Why would a coach say that if he was just an unbelievable talent? Afraid of a QB controversy in a year at Florida? McElwain knew he was replaceable.
My opinion McElwain also knew his arm strength was suspect and to get it done in the SEC and beat the Bamas of the league he needs a gunslinger. Teams would have figured it out soon enough. Press coverage with safeties back to INT the air balls.
He is a gamer and will give Tech fits with the short to intermediate sideline passing and scrambling for first downs. He will however not have faced the speed that will be coming his way Sunday. If he runs often he will not be finishing the game.
