I have quite a few. My FIRST VT-WVU game that I remember was a game where my brother and I drive up from Bristol to meet my other brother coming from Colonial Heights. We hadn't met up but for a minute and these WVU fans walk by and yell "TECH SUCKS!" and my brother yells back "YOUR MOM DOES TOO BUT I DON'T GO AROUND YELLING IT!"

There's the time the Mountaineer was tussling with the Hokie Bird in the NEZ area and getting the best of him. Some Corp members came to his rescue though and carried the Mountaineer off the field. The Hokie Bird acquired the musket and proceded to wave it over his head.

At one WVU game my brother and the woman (WVU fan) traded insults for a half. Borderline fighting. But as the game got out of hand they decided to do tequila shots together.

Then there's the time, while walking to the stadium, a pickup truck with shirtless WVU fans in bibbed overalls went by. I do think it was their normal attire.

I remember not breathing for what had to be a minute after Shayne Graham's last second FG in 1999.

I remember getting offered free tickets to a WVU game at Lane and being excited until I was told they were next to the WVU band. We stayed home.

But most of all I remember how intense these games were. It was really like they were praying for pride and respect EVERY F'IN PLAY!

Unlike UVa where the sway follows every TD and the fans leave at hafltime to get drunk on vintage wine. Or Miami where the fans don't see us as being worthy of the air they breathe. This game was always about hard hits, trash talking, and sometimes fights. Before, during and even AFTER the game!

I'm excited it's back.
