And one more thing...Rags was a very good basketball player who played for Roanoke College...but I don't remember him playing football at Narrows.
Also, in contrast to many in the coaching profession, Rags had a math degree and taught that at Giles. (He also stepped into the gap to teach physics as I recall.)
Very bright, no nonsense, good man...with a sense of humor.
