Of VT friends and several coworkers, amongst myself and them all, this has been nothing but friendly back and forth jabs and light hearted smack talk. I expect the same thing at FedEx. I'll probably even go to the VT lots and have a drink or three with a dear Hokie friend of mine. I expect good natured ribbing while I'm there and while I'm on my journey to and from. At the end of the day it's a game, win or lose its never a reason to treat another human with disrespect, they just wanted to see their team win as well.
