I think WVU needs to win much more then Tech does
The Big 12 pays WVU well, but the 'eers will always be the lonely step child in that league.
After 9-3, West Virginia's next marquee matchup comes to town on October 28, which Ok State plays in Morgantown.
WVU could start 10-0, only to lose to Texas and Oklahoma to end the year.
We'd like to see Tech start strong against the Hokies. But the game that really matters on Tech's schedule is its 9/30 game against Clemson.
Keeping the Black Diamond trophy is important, but getting to the ACC Championship game (which means winning at Miami on 11/4) means much more.
