My question: How hard do you try to win? Consider this possibility....


Let's say VT's defense is dominating, but the O is struggling. If you are up 14 in the third quarter, do you keep running your normal offense and risk turnovers/a longer game, or do you try to run the clock to preserve the win?

My guess is you run your normal offense to prepare for the conference season. If you stumble, you stumble.
