Criticizing Vick in no way vitiates shifting curricula. Indeed, given accreditation standards, there's only so much a vet school can do to adjust its curriculum in the first place.

If Sands were inclined to smack down Dean Clarke over this, he'd probably face a general backlash from ALL faculty and deans. Faculty take academic freedom, the ability to give voice on issues we deem important, VERY seriously. Sands isn't going to spend much political capital on the HoF issue -- and Clarke hasn't spent any.

And again, while the vet school is located on Tech's campus, it is not solely run by VT.
