Probably because the "summers off" thing is almost entirely a myth


Plus, the 70-80 hour work weeks the other 46 weeks of the year are a real drag. Or the extensive PD many do during their 6 week vacation. Or the fact that they're extremely underpaid for their level of education and responsibility. Et cetera.
