Here are my thoughts

I just watched Beck`s film. He is so much faster than the defenders that once he gets past the LOS,he is gone. But,the big holes he had in high school won`t be there in many cases in college. He also has a tendency, like a lot of really fast high school RBs,to bounce it outside if he doesn`t have a good hole. With his speed, that can be successful in high school. In college, you get tackled for a loss or get run out of bounds. In 8 minutes of film,I only saw him catch 2 passes. One was a post pattern(not what he would catch at VT) and the other was about a 10 yd pass.

So,I can see why Fuente hasn`t offered him. He just doesn`t seem like the best fit for the new VT offense. He looks like he could be successful with a big OL that opens good holes where he can hit it fast and hopefully break off a long run. But,of course,in college he will have fast LBs and DBs to contend with once he passes the LOS.
