If a kid can cross state lines and get paid more money, you gotta presume it matters. It might even be the deciding factor in a close decision.

We're getting more out-of-state kids, particularly the NC kids. I'd be curious to see if these NC kids are getting a "pay raise" to come to Blacksburg (vs staying home in NC).

Maybe it's not a big deal, but it seems like a heck of a coincidence.
