I have a couple of strong opinions about two things that just aren't all that popular around here I guess. And I DO get defensive in defending them I know.

1. The ACC really couldn't have been run any worse than it has been the last 15 years, and these really really weak schedules are horrible for VT.

2. And, VT needs some better recruiters in the program.

And number 2 is tied to number 1.


I think most tend to agree with me about both, but I think I place more importance on them than the majority.

Way I see it, Virginia Tech is at a cross roads here. We can slip back into being a 6 or 7 win program in a second tier league, or we can get back to national relevance.

We're back in 1997 again. It really is up in the air. Alls I know is we're gonna need something, maybe another Corey Moore or Mike Vick, to overcome our lack of money. We're currently about 40-45 out of 65 in that department. And the ACC is BY FAR the culprit. It just is. You recognize that don't you?

So, I guess that's why I am quick to pull the trigger when a couple of guys over on the Realignment Board start touting the ACC and its leaders. It's kinda a big deal for VT.
