While I agree with you, I think the TV aspect is alternatives to TV
I can live stream a MLB game on my cell phone using the MLB app. Thursday night football is now going to be available through Amazon.com.
I don't have to buy Cable/Satellite anymore to watch, which is where a majority of ESPNs income comes from. As folks dump cable, ESPN loses money.
A metric I heard yesterday was that every person who pays for Cable pays $86 a year directly to ESPN. So as people are dumping cable, it's a lot of revenue they are losing.
