On the other hand, I think he's had more than a few cases of sloppy reporting, often seeming like he's just re-stating what he's read from other sources even when he SHOULD know better.

For example, right in this thread is RiverCity pointing out the "Bucky could block?" bit. Any reporter who was really paying attention to the Hokies would/should know that wasn't Bucky's role. A reporter who DOESN'T know the Hokies could just assume that losing a Tight End like Bucky could lead to blocking issues, but anyone who paid attention should know that Bucky may have been called a TE, but he was really a WR and rarely contributed as a run blocker.
