Let's keep it simple. Really, really simple:

Most of you went to high school in Virginia. There isn't a single UVa football player from the Commonwealth who didn't go to high school with someone who ended up going to Tech.

I'm sure there were UVa football players who were and are bright young men, upstanding citizens, etc., etc. The majority, even. Because the majority of any college football team is filled with those sorts of young men.

But don't be telling us that UVa football players are somehow academic elites. UVa football players went to high school with Tech fans. UVa football players were coached in Little League by Tech fans. UVa football players dated girls who went on to Tech, were best friends with guys who went on to Tech, were taught Algebra by Tech grads, etc., etc.

And some UVa football players couldn't spell "cat" if you gave them the "c" and the "t". Just like with any other college football team. The idea that UVa football players are somehow brighter and better than the football players are other schools is asking Tech fans to ignore the reality of the people they personally know, on an individual basis.
