Parent company, Landmark Communications, who is a Virginia Tech graduate & both her kids are VT graduates so I doubt there's any animosity towards VT, at least at the parent company now. She didn't get her Master's in Accounting until 83 from VT so she wasn't at Landmark during Brill's tenure. I was in the Roanoke times primary market from 79 to 84 so I'm sure I read all Brill's stuff back in the day. I have zero recollection of anything he ever said but I've never been one to get bent out of shape over a sports article. I also don't care one iota if a reporter refers to VT as VahTech & I like Lou Holtz & Heather Danich but that's just my personality I guess.
