Whoever said that is an idiot.

I'm a UVA fan that has had a personal relationship with buzz years before he came to VT. Buzz is a wonderful person, no doubt an oddball, but that is what partly makes him so successful. He is unique and genuine in his approach to life and that is very clear to his players and a big reason they love him. As for being scared of Buzz success I don't see that. Quite honestly I don't think there is a coach in the country good enough to dominate Tony Bennett, win a fair share of games, absolutely. But Bennett is realistically the heir apparent as the king of the ACC as the Hall of Fame coaches all retire over the next 5 years. Nothing would be better than VT and UVA becoming the basketball rivalry that unc and duke currently have. It makes both programs stronger for the long run.I will also say that knowing Buzz in a personal manner, I don't think he will be a lifetime coach at VT. I think he will be there another 3-5 years but his love of Texas will see him return at some point when the right opportunity is there (if shaka failed for example)
