My sentiments exactly. Sure these things happen. The article seems to be somewhat dated. People don't use cash all that much any more. A lot of places won't take $100 bills anymore, for good reason.
I saw one, a counterfeit, on display recently. If you looked closely you could see that it was phony. I'm not sure how it was done. Someone told me that they bleached out $10's and printed over them.
So if the guy said that he carried a stack of prepaid Visa cards from Walmart I would have found it more believable. Walmart will gladly take your $100's which they run through a machine to check.
