Buzz has significantly improved VT basketball recruiting in the last 2 years. He's signed Clarke, Robinson, Blackshear, Sy, Bede, and NAW; not to mention pulling LeDay and Allen transfers.

VT will never recruit at the level of UNC, Duke, Louisville, NCST, or Syracuse. Those teams have national championships, supportive alumni, and great coaches (other than Gottfried). We can and do currently recruit at the same level as the 2nd tier schools, and when we get some depth I expect we'll be competing with the top schools because experience trumps recruiting stars at a certain point.
