Not a good analogy, but I wouldn't really care in the end


since nobody cares who wins that also-ran tournament. Nobody on last year's team was a prospective NBA lottery pick with millions of dollars on the line if they got hurt. Also, the risk for career-ending/altering injury in basketball is much less than football.
