PSU learned nothing. The reason for shutting down their program for a while would of been to help the school look in mirror and see what they had become. Above you said "Football is football". Okay let's use that line of thinking. Sandusky felt most comfortable using the football facility to abuse children. When people saw the disgusting acts they went to the head football coach, not the authorities. And none of the people who witnessed Sandusky abusing children, football staff, stopped him. So what is the take away? That the football program enabled a child rapist for 25 years. If that isn't lack of institutional control I don't know what is. And how as a parent of a recruit do you take your son to visit PSU for football and are not repulsed to know that your potential locker room was used as a child rape chamber? And that the school pretty much sanctioned that activity? Fake classes and paying players are not in the same universe as the absolute demonic behavior that transpired at PSU.
