Since the "25" Jersey was such a success ...
... might we expect other programs to copy the concept and un-retire special #'s? I'm not sure if other teams have any similar circumstances. (I seem to recall SU reserving '32' for special backs.)
In any case, It was a genius idea by CJF and staff, and has been overwhelmingly positive. There's definitely been some 'bounce' in the performance of those wearing the number.
Also, I wouldn't want it to happen, but it's fun to imagine if the OL of the week wore '73' or the DL of the week wore '78' ... would there be similar bounce?
