Re: Newman - 1967-1968.

Same here! Was on ground floor several doors from the rec room with the table tennis table. Enjoyed playing anybody and everybody!

Remember this? For supper, most of would go to Owens to eat, then make the swing by the post office in the lower level at the front of the building. In the winter time after a light snow, there would be a shallow "ponding" during the day in the pebble sidewalk area in front from the melted snow. Then late in afternoon/early evening, it would refreeze. Possibly a skiff of snow would come, hiding the ice from the frozen water. Unsuspecting students would walk on that surface (it was as smooth as a hockey rink) and fall. A bunch of fellas would be sitting on the short stone wall, just laughing their fannies off when someone fell. It was at that time I learned to lean forward to keep my CG properly situated. Still use that technique to this day!

Oh, the good 'ole days!
