I remember the uproar in both fanbases when the schools thought it would be a good idea to move the Commonwealth Cup from Thanksgiving Weekend (aka "Rivalry Week"). I would think there would be a similar response if the ACC announced that VT was moving to the Atlantic Division and it was ending the protected cross-division game.

Now as far as the RPI goes, if it gets any lower then VT may want to consider playing UVA-Wise to try to bring it back up ;-)
