While I can appreciate that the hit was technically a penalty, it took 2+ minutes to decide that the hit was illegal, and after multiple reviews, it suspends a kid for 3 quarters of football. Edmunds made that decision in about 0.1 seconds, and it wasn't that egregious.
Protect players, but lets not get so out of control. It is a physical game, and sometimes players may get banged up.
