Most ND message boards (especially pay sites) are an unreadable mess because they're populated with fewer alums and a ton of fanboys. NDNation is the best pulse of the alumni base, which can be quite different from fans who never attended the school.

The discussion is considerably more intelligent than most other ND sites, and, as is pointed out, it's policed heavily by moderators, who are very good at weeding out the garbage. Also as suggested below, you probably should read a few pages of the discussion and the board rules before posting. If you come off as respectful and half intelligent without posting nonsense, you will be well-received. They can, however, come off as meanypants if you post like an asshat.

If you really want to access a pay site, Irish Sports Daily with Mike Frank is the best paysite out there by far.
