Sometimes we all get so caught up in W's & L's

and X's & O's that we lose sight of more important things. Maybe I'm just getting old, but my favorite scenes from yesterday were HC Fuente hugging and smiling with Bud Foster, hugging his wife who was so happy for him, and Evans celebrating with Tech fans who braved very bad weather to show their support - the coaches and players took notice. I really like this team, this coaching staff, this AD - the chemistry is awesome. They will work on problem areas and only get better.
Don't mistake HC Fuente's cool sideline demeanor for lack of passion, this man is composed through thick and thin but intense, and he feels like most of the work was in preparation for the game, the rest is execution, and the players and assistants know it.
I've been following Tech athletics since the early 60's and graduated in '80, seen a lot of teams and coaches. I watched QB's like David Lamie and Mitchell Barnes, Jerod is the real deal folks. They got something special going on, it's going to get even better over time. Enjoy this ride, and the intangibles that make a team a team, and a program a program. Couldn't be prouder.
