I really don't get the press's desire to instantly make a news story out of a former VT QB's no-show at a court hearing. Just what the hell are they trying to accomplish with this story? I don't get why the public would have even mild interest in other people's legal affairs. The only objective this story accomplishes is just publicly kicking a dude when he's down. This is bush-league journalism.

Jimmy Turk, Vick's attorney, actually received a summons -- AND THEN DIDN'T DELIVER IT TO VICK!!! Really, how's a guy supposed to show up if his lawyer doesn't give his client the summons? Sounds like a crappy lawyer.
