With the concern of Clemson,Florida State, Georgia Tech and Louisille having rivalry games in place, thus bumping them to 10 obligated games in seasons that they play Notre Dame. Why not count the years they play Notre Dame as the 9th conference game.. It just does't count as a league game.These schools would play essentially 8 true conference games that year. This helps free their scheduling and helps the league get to playing teams from the other division more often than every ten years. To me that is the shame of it all. We have conference schools that are close, we can drive to and we have to wait years to play them. Such as NC State, Wake,Clemson and even Louisville. My only question is can you have some teams in your division that have played 8 conference games and some that have played 9 in the same year??
