Great memories.......
When wins were greatly valued, losses were not as difficult to stomach ( except to Hoo's), stadium was less crowded, it did not matter who was playing quarterback as long as he could handoff frequently without fumbling, when we had two quarterbacks or the two headed monster Cox -Wood (Mark Cox and Todd Greenwood) as I recall. When I could understand but never cared for the run, run, run and punt offense that Bill seemed to favor, when B-R-U-C-E ! echoed though Lane, when old school football was still the norm.
So here's to Bill Dooley, RIP, thanks for the memories, i.e. cig, pack rolled up in sleeve.....smoking during the game....those were the days.
