Too fast on offense?

I realize I'm going into theory land, but as long as you keep scoring touchdowns is it really possible to go too fast? I mean is there such a thing as "this is terrible we only controlled the ball for 5 minutes of the half!" if you put up 50 points?

I understand about the defense getting exhausted, but hey - you're going to keep scoring, so rotate your dogs. What the heck , you might is well go high risk/reward on D too and blitz like mad.

Not saying this is a game plan, just something I occasionally wonder about.
