Appendix cancer is similar to colon cancer according to my surgeon Dr. Chen. So the treatment is the same. I have had my first chemo treatment. I will have my second next Wednesday. I will have twelve total every two weeks. My last treatment is early December. They are using something called FolFox. I expect the cumulative buildup of the chemo in me will eventually create some side effects. I will see it through to the end. Unfortunately, the rest of my family is in VA and NC. So their support will be by phone. I have one very good friend here I can always count on. He visited me after my surgery more than everyone else combined. Jerry will be there. Can't say the same for my girlfriend. About to show her the door. I don't need a distraction and antagonist. I plan to join you as cancer free.
