Oliver Weiss' wife worked in the athletic administration,as a learning disabiity specialist who helped various athletes. I know both Weiss' personally and they were close to other administrators as well. So while yes Oliver did focus on the international aspect of bringing in soccer players who would help the program and yes, there were minor things that he should have known better, Weiss largely ran a good program and players did well academically. It was not just renting foreign players. But the family is an upstanding family and as, I said, his wife was all about doing the right thing in the administration.
