Sports jumped the shark in the pro ranks years ago and college has followed suit. Everything has been taken over by the need to suck money out of people to pay other people to play sports. Every time they ask for more money I question my sanity in giving. I'll always pull for the Hokies but I now enjoy watching high school or Division III games as much or more than I do pro or Division I athletics - and a large reason for that is lesser influence money has on the game (well, except for 62 million dollar high school stadiums). I've decided there are many more worthwhile endeavors at VT that I can donate my money to that I would actually feel good about.
