doesn't really change that much for you. I have not studied the new plan in detail, but as I understand it, it can affect others more than $15-20 per ticket over what they are paying now.

If you are capable of that kind of donation then you are correct, another $15-$20 bucks a ticket really isn't that much - that's what the HC is counting on.

But if someone is in a position of buying a family of four tickets on the secondary market for the one game a year they can afford - expecting another $80 bucks to cover the donation portion can be a deal breaker.

No, this person should not expect great seats if that is what they can afford, but for low demand games they can usually buy single game nosebleed tickets for face - often from the ticket office. If there are better tickets available on the secondary market, and the supply/demand for that game has those tickets at the same or lower price, Why wouldn't they buy them?

Now people complaining that lack of funds is preventing them from getting face value tickets, in a good seat location, for the marquee game of the year - that's another story.
