Centreville, Yeah, I think we agree

I have the advantage of living here in Blacksburg, and being retired, I have plenty of time. Without going into excruciating detail, I post very seldom, except on two occasions in the last few years--MBB re-seating a few years ago, and this roll out. In both instances, when issues arose, I would post on TSL and get information from posters. Some of those posters challenged some of my suppositions, said what I said wasn't true. So, in order to find out what was true, I went to see people involved. I then posted what I found out. Sometimes I was right, sometimes I was wrong.
There is nothing more dangerous than an old curmudgeon with time to spare. When I worked for the federal government, I always liked to talk to people face to face. I think you have a better feel for the truthfulness of someone when you're looking at each other. I have the two advantages I mentioned.
When my wife and I have issues with the VTTO and/or the HC, we make inquiries at both. The usual result is the VTTO tells me to go see the HC, and the HC tells me to go see the VTTO. Again, there is very little transparency up here, which is a major part of the problems that occur up here. Nobody wants to take responsibility when things don't go as planned. When the best solution is just to hear the issue out, fix or explain it, and then try to adjust to minimize what happened from happening again.
I went to the town hall here because of postings here on TSL. I accumulated questions from the boards, and I wanted to hear the spiel in person. The town hall was scheduled to last an hour. To me, it was organized to limit time for Q & A. I didn't go to say anything except to ask my questions and report back on this board. But it didn't go as I intended, and I assume you read my report back to the board.
If you get a chance to go, please pick a question I wanted to ask, ask it, and report back on the board. I would appreciate it, and I think others would also. I've gotten more info on TSL than I ever get from the school.
