Is it the money or was the whole experience that you didn't feel that the
university didn't care if you were there or not? I was there in the late '70s and I always felt like i was nothing more than another number and they had plenty of applicants that wanted my seat and they knew it.
For years, I used to tell people that my fondest memory of VT was looking back at it in my rear view mirror after graduation. Now, I appreciate the lack of support I got from my experience because it made me more confident that I could find an answer for any problem that I've encountered. But it took a long time for that realization to kick in.
