For some people the price can actually decrease. What you're forgetting is that Landsen has been through this entire process already at Memphis. He knows exactly what he's getting into, because he helped create their plan (which is basically the same as VT's plan). It ended up generating a lot more donation revenue.

By basically being the last school to adopt this system, VT had the advantage of being able to study exactly how it was implemented at other schools, the advantages and disadvantages, what worked and what didn't work, etc. With all of that info, they were able to tailor their own plan for our own program. VT didn't go into this blind. They went into it with a lot more info than the schools who started doing this years ago. That's the one benefit of being last I suppose.
