Miami and UNC? We're all pumped up with the prospects of the new staff making the team instantly better, but it's the same defense, and there were problems there last year, and we're breaking in pretty much a new D-line. Maybe the offense will move faster, but if you look at the actual stats from last year on the number of plays that Memphis ran versus what VT ran, it's not as big a difference as you might expect ... something like an extra 10 plays a game -- but perhaps someone else has a better memory than I do.
Me, I'd like to see a dominating VT defense again. First. And then, I'd like to see what CJF can do with the talent he has on this team on offense. I think that there is a fair amount, so I'm hoping to be pleasantly surprised. BTW, if Tech beats Tennessee, my opinions on the season will go off the charts.
